Electrical filters are important for attenuating electrical ripple, eliminating electromagnetic interference (EMI) and susceptibility, improving power quality, and minimizing electromagnetic signature. Capacitors are critical elements in such filters, and filter performance is strongly influenced by the capacitor parasitics.
