Few-layer Tellurium, an elementary semiconductor, succeeds most of striking physical properties that black phosphorus (BP) offers and could be feasibly synthesized by simple solution-based methods. It is comprised of non-covalently bound parallel Te chains, among which covalent-like feature appears.
