We describe the pathological examination of 11 cases of fetal congenital cystic adenomatoid malformation of the lung. All patients were treated in utero between 21 and 27 weeks of gestation with either lobectomy or placement of a thoracoamniotic shunt. Ten cases involved a single lobe, and one case involved two lobes. The lesions contained both solid and cystic areas.
