We studied structural and magnetic properties of a series of insulating double perovskite compounds, La2-xSrxCuRuO6 (0 0). Heat capacity measurements indicate the absence of any long-range magnetic order in any of these compounds. The magnetic relaxation and memory effects observed in all compounds suggest glassy dynamical properties associated with magnetic disorder and frustration. We show that the observed magnetic properties are dominated by the competition between the nearest-neighbor Ru-O…

Antisite Defect and Magnetic Frustration in Double Perovskite Ln2CuRuO6 (Ln = La, Pr) Compounds
Magnetism in double perovskite oxides of the formula A 2 BB'O 6 has been a subject of great interest and intensive research in condensed matter physics. In this paper, Ln 2 CuRuO 6 (A = La, Pr)
Magnetic frustration in partially ordered double perovskites Ln3Ni2RuO9 (Ln = La, Nd)
Abstract Ln3Ni2RuO9 (Ln = La, Nd) oxides (prepared by a solid state metathesis route) adopt a monoclinic (P21/n) A2BB'O6 double perovskite structure wherein the two independent octahedral 2c and 2d
Octahedral tilting and emergence of ferrimagnetism in cobalt-ruthenium based double perovskites.
Structural analysis indicates strong distortion in the Co-O-Ru bond angle, as La is replaced by smaller rare-earth ions such as Pr, Nd and Sm, and the observed ferrimagnetism is possibly associated with the enhanced antiferromagnetic superexchange interaction in thecoherent pathway.
Valence States of B-Site Cation and Their Correlation to Magnetic Phase Transition in La2-xSrxNiRuO6
La2-xSrxNiRuO6 (0 ≤ x ≤ 1) samples were successfully synthesized by standard solid-state reaction method. The compounds can be well indexed as the monoclinic structure with the space group P21/n at
Effect of electron doping on the magnetic properties and electronic structures of Ba2MnMoO6
Abstract The electron-carrier-doping effects in an antiferromagnetic insulator Ba 2 MnMoO 6 were investigated by La doping using the first-principles calculation. We examined the magnetic properties
