We calculate on-shell scattering amplitudes involving fermions at the tree level in open superstring field theory. We confirm that four-point and five-point amplitudes in the world-sheet path integral with the standard prescription using picture-changing operators are reproduced. For the four-point amplitudes, we find that the quartic interaction required by gauge invariance adjusts the different assignment of picture-changing operators in the $s$-channel and in the $t$-channel of Feynman…

Super Yang-Mills action from WZW-like open superstring field theory including the Ramond sector

In the framework of WZW-like open superstring field theory (SSFT) including the Ramond (R) sector whose action was constructed by Kunitomo and Okawa, we truncate the string fields in both the

D-instanton induced superpotential

Abstract We use string field theory to fix the normalization of the D-instanton corrections to the superpotential involving the moduli fields of type II string theory compactified on an orientifold

Open superstring field theory based on the supermoduli space

A bstractWe present a new approach to formulating open superstring field theory based on the covering of the supermoduli space of super-Riemann surfaces and explicitly construct a gauge-invariant

Concerning the ghost contribution to the one-loop integrands in open string field theory

We examine the ghost contribution to the one-loop integrands in open string field theory using the Moyal representation of the star product. We primarily focus on the open string tadpole integrand,

Open superstring field theory including the Ramond sector based on the supermoduli space

We construct a gauge-invariant action for open superstring field theory up to quartic order including the Ramond sector based on the covering of the supermoduli space of super-Riemann surfaces,

One loop tadpole in heterotic string field theory

A bstractWe compute the off-shell 1-loop tadpole amplitude in heterotic string field theory. With a special choice of cubic vertex, we show that this amplitude can be computed exactly. We obtain

Superstring field theory and the Wess-Zumino-Witten action

A bstractWe describe a notion of “higher” Wess-Zumino-Witten-like action which is natural in the context of superstring field theories formulated in the large Hilbert space. For the open string, the

Closed superstring field theory and its applications

We review recent developments in the construction of heterotic and type II string field theories and their various applications. These include systematic procedures for determining the shifts in the

Relating Berkovits and A∞ superstring field theories; large Hilbert space perspective

A bstractWe lift the dynamical field of the A∞ superstring field theory to the large Hilbert space by introducing a gauge invariance associated with the eta zero mode. We then provide a field

Background independence of closed superstring field theory

A bstractGiven a family of world-sheet superconformal field theories related by marginal deformation, we can formulate superstring field theory based on any of these world-sheet theories. Background

Complete action for open superstring field theory

We construct a complete action for open superstring field theory that includes the NeveuSchwarz sector and the Ramond sector. For the Neveu-Schwarz sector, we use the string field in the large

From the Berkovits formulation to the Witten formulation in open superstring field theory

A bstractThe Berkovits formulation of open superstring field theory is based on the large Hilbert space of the superconformal ghost sector. We discuss its relation to the Witten formulation based on

Symmetries and Feynman rules for the Ramond sector in heterotic string field theory

Examining the symmetries of the pseudo-action, we propose a prescription for the new Feynman rules for the Ramond sector of the WZW-like heterotic string field theory. The new rules are an analog of

A Covariant Action with a Constraint and Feynman Rules for Fermions in Open Superstring Field Theory

In a way analogous to type IIB supergravity, we give a covariant action for the fermion field supplemented with a constraint which should be imposed on equations of motion, in Berkovits' open

We examine the symmetries of the action suppelemented by the constraint in the WZW-type open superstring field theory. It is found that this pseudo-action has additional symmetries provided we impose
