  • Fecal blood loss was measured as previously described· by the Cr. 1 method. Serial 3-day composite collections of feces were made before, during, and after administration of the drugs tested. The subjects were male patients from the Gastroenterology Section of the Veterans Administration Hospital. Most of the patients had peptic ulcer and some had bled recently (within 2 weeks of testing).
