OBJECTIVE:To assess the feasibility, safety, accuracy, and acceptability of “string-capsule endoscopy” in the evaluation of esophageal varices.MATERIAL AND METHODS:Strings were attached to the wireless capsule endoscopy device to allow its controlled movement up and down the esophagus.
