  • In accordance with the existing concepts, the fauna of anemonefishes of the Maldive Islands comprises three species: Amphiprion clarkii, A. sebae, and A. nigripes (Allen, 1991; Fautin and Allen, 1997). Amphiprion clarkii is the most widespread among anemonefishes.
