Generalized multiprotocol label switching (GMPLS) is a set of protocol extensions to multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) that are essential for enabling next-generation IP-over-WDM networks [1-5]. Here, we consider an IP-over-WDM network in which the network nodes consist of GMPLS-capable optical crossconnects (OXCs) and GMPLS-capable IP routers (henceforth, the term “IP router” will mean a “GMPLS-capable IP router”).
