CONTEXT PPARG mutations may cause insulin resistance and dyslipidemia, but little is known about the mechanisms of the abnormalities of lipid metabolism. OBJECTIVE We hypothesized that in PPARG mutations, abnormal adipose tissue triglyceride storage causes insulin resistance.
