The fate of cyclic volatile methylsiloxanes (cVMS) - octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4), decamethylcyclopentasiloxane (D5), and dodecamethylcyclohexasiloxane (D6) - was evaluated in a typical secondary activated sludge wastewater treatment plant (WWTP).
