We develop a mathematical model, based on a system of ordinary differential equations, to the upshot of farming alertness in crop pest administration, bearing in mind plant biomass, pest, and level of control. Main qualitative analysis of the proposed mathematical model, akin to both pest-free and coexistence equilibrium points and stability analysis, is investigated. We show that all solutions of the model are positive and bounded with initial conditions in a certain significant set. The local… Expand

A multi-delay model for pest control with awareness induced interventions — Hopf bifurcation and optimal control analysis
Farming awareness is an important measure for pest controlling in agricultural practice. Time delay in controlling pest may affect the system. Time delay occurs in organizing awareness campaigns, a...
Role of farming awareness in crop pest management - A mathematical model.
A mathematical model is proposed to study the effect of awareness among the people in crop pest management using plant biomass, pest and aware population using time delay as the bifurcation parameter. Expand
A mathematical study of a crop-pest-natural enemy model with Z-type control
It is supported that the pest population can be controlled by using an indirect Z-control mechanism in the natural enemy population by applying the Z-type control method to a crop-pest-natural enemy model. Expand
Pest control using farming awareness: Impact of time delays and optimal use of biopesticides
A mathematical model, considering plant biomass, pest, and the effect of farming awareness, is investigated, incorporating two time delays into the system and the existence and the stability criteria of the equilibria are obtained. Expand
A Holling Type II Discrete Switching Host-Parasitoid System with a Nonlinear Threshold Policy for Integrated Pest Management
A nonlinear discrete switching host-parasitoid model with Holling type II functional response function, in which the switch is guided by an economic threshold (ET), is proposed. Thus, if the weightedExpand
An SI integrated pest management model with pesticide resistance to susceptible pests
In this paper, epidemic diseases among pests are assumed to occur, so pests are divided into susceptible pests and infected pests, and only susceptible pests are harmful to crops. Considering spray...
Complex dynamics and coexistence of period-doubling and period-halving bifurcations in an integrated pest management model with nonlinear impulsive control
An expectation for optimal integrated pest management is that the instantaneous numbers of natural enemies released should depend on the densities of both pest and natural enemy in the field. ForExpand
Impact of farming awareness based roguing, insecticide spraying and optimal control on the dynamics of mosaic disease
A mathematical model has been derived using saturated response functions (nonlinear infection rate) for studying the dynamics of mosaic disease with farming awareness based roguing, spraying and insecticide spraying suggesting that the awareness campaigns through radio, TV advertisement are important for eradication of the disease.
