We present the results of an investigation of the large-scale structure of the diffuse interstellar medium in the 2nd Galactic Quadrant (90 ◦ ≤ l ≤ 180 ◦ ). 145 loops were identified on IRAS-based far-infrared maps. Our catalogue lists their basic physical properties. The distribution clearly suggests that there is an efficient process that can generate loop-like features at high Galactic latitudes. Distances are provided for 30 loops. We also give an observational estimate of the volume… Expand
Catalogue of far-infrared loops in the Galaxy (Konyves+, 2007)
Aims: An all-sky survey of loop- and arc-like intensity enhancements has been performed in order to investigate the large-scale structure of the diffuse far-infrared emission. Methods: We used mapsExpand
Extreme infrared variables from UKIDSS – II. An end-of-survey catalogue of eruptive YSOs and unusual stars
We present a catalogue of 618 high amplitude infrared variable stars (1 < DeltaK < 5 mag) detected by the two widely separated epochs of 2.2 um data in the UKIDSS Galactic plane survey, from searchesExpand
Study of Dust Structure nearby Asymptotic Giant Branch Star using IRAS Survey
This study performed an investigation of a dust environment, in the far-infrared bands (60 and 100 µm) of Infrared Astronomical Satellite (IRAS) survey, using the Sky View Virtual ObservatoryExpand
Planck early results. XXIII. The first all-sky survey of Galactic cold clumps
We present the statistical properties of the Cold Clump Catalogue of Planck Objects (C3PO), the first all-sky catalogue of cold objects, in terms of their spatial distribution, dust temperature,Expand
A High-Latitude Molecular Structure in Pegasus-Pisces
We detected CO emission from a shell-like or ringlike dust structure approximately 20° across centered near Galactic coordinates (l = 105°, b = -45°). This region was also observed in CO by YamamotoExpand
LARGE-SCALE CO OBSERVATIONS OF A FAR-INFRARED LOOP IN PEGASUS: DETECTION OF A LARGE NUMBER OF VERY SMALL MOLECULAR CLOUDS POSSIBLY FORMED VIA SHOCKS
We have performed large-scale CO observations with the millimeter/submillimeter telescope NANTEN toward a FIR looplike structure whose angular extent is ~20? ? 20? around (l,b) ~ (109?, - 45?) inExpand
Distance to NGC 281 in a Galactic Fragmenting Superbubble: Parallax Measurements with VERA
We have used the Japanese VLBI array VERA to perform high-precision astrometry of an H2O maser source in the Galactic star-forming region NGC 281 West, which has been considered to be part of aExpand
Exploring GLIMPSE bubble N107 - Multiwavelength observations and simulations
Context. Bubble N107 was discovered in the infrared emission of dust in the Galactic Plane observed by the Spitzer Space Telescope (GLIMPSE survey: l ~ 51.0 deg, b ~ 0.1 deg). The bubble representsExpand
Statistical technique to study the connection between large-scale structures in the ISM and low-mass star formation
Applying a color index selection the Point Source Catalog of the Two Micron All Sky Survey (2MASS PSC) has been searched for Classical T Tauri (CTT) stars in the 2nd and 3rd Galactic quadrant basedExpand
Wide-Field Infrared Survey Explorer Observations of Young Stellar Objects in the Lynds 1509 Dark Cloud in Auriga
The Wide-Field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) has uncovered a striking cluster of young stellar object (YSO) candidates associated with the L1509 dark cloud in Auriga. The WISE observations, at 3.4Expand
