The variety used was Co.301, planted on a sandy soil, in December, and the rainfall from planting time till the first sign of germination in the middle of January was 0.73 inches. The two cutting treatments, Agrosan and Ceresan significantly improved germination and led to a greatly increased yield of cane. Over the two crops Ceresan increased the yield by 56 per cent. and Agrosan by 39 per cent. The soil treatments were not statistically effectual, although formalin treatment showed some…
