To determine whether extraintestinal isolates of Campylobacter jejuni and Campylobacter coli are the consequence of unusual host or bacterial characteristics, we studied clinical and bacteriologic features of 24 extraintestinal infections. Common serotypes and auxotypes were present among the extraintestinal isolates.
