Drug-induced alterations in arterial blood pressure are reflected in the extracellular fluid neurotransmitter levels of the nucleus of the solitary tract (NTS). Urethane-anesthetized spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHRs) and Wistar-Kyoto normotensive (WKY) rats were used in this study.
