In this paper, we formulate black hole solutions through extended gravitational decoupling scheme in the framework of self-interacting Brans-Dicke theory. The addition of a new source in the matter distribution increases the degrees of freedom in the system of field equations. Transformations in radial as well as temporal metric functions split the system into two arrays. Each array includes the effects of only one source (either seed or additional). The seed source is assumed to be a vacuum…

Influence of charge on extended decoupled anisotropic solutions in $$f ({\mathcal {R,T}},{\mathcal {R}}_{\lambda \xi }{\mathcal {T}}^{\lambda \xi })$$ gravity

In this paper, we consider static self-gravitating spherical spacetime and determine various anisotropic solutions through the extended gravitational decoupling technique in

The scalar-tensor theory of gravitation

The scalar-tensor theory of gravitation is one of the most popular alternatives to Einstein's theory of gravitation. This book provides a clear and concise introduction to the theoretical ideas and

First M87 Event Horizon Telescope Results. I. The Shadow of the Supermassive Black Hole

When surrounded by a transparent emission region, black holes are expected to reveal a dark shadow caused by gravitational light bending and photon capture at the event horizon. To image and study

The minimal geometric deformation approach extended

The minimal geometric deformation approach was introduced in order to study the exterior spacetime around spherically symmetric self-gravitating systems, such as stars or similar astrophysical

Black Holes and Scalar Fields

No-hair theorems in theories of gravity with a scalar field are briefly and critically reviewed. Their significance and limitations are discussed and potential evasions are considered.
