Hydroxyproline-rich glycoproteins (HRGPs) fromZea mays have been immunolocalized in the cell wall of root tip cells using ultrathin sections and antibodies ellicited against the purified protein. The accumulation of mRNA corresponding to this protein was studied using the cDNA probe.
