PURPOSE In addition to Estrogen Receptor alpha (ERalpha) and Progesterone Receptor (PR), the Second Estrogen Receptor (ERbeta) appears to play an important role not only in estrogen signaling, but also in the pathogenesis of cancer in estrogen dependent tissues.
