To improve nutrient content of goat milk, we describe the construction of a vector (pBLAC) containing a hybrid goat β -lactoglobulin (BLG) promoter/cytomegalovirus (CMV) enhancer. We also describe the generation of transgenic goats expressing rhLA by somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT).
