The basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH-PAS) proteins aryl hydrocarbon receptor nuclear translocator (Arnt) and Arnt2 are transcriptional regulators that function as dimerizing partners for several bHLH-PAS proteins and also some nonrelated partners.
