Three chloroplast genes, chlL, chlN and chlB, encoding the light-independent protochlorophyllide oxidoreductase (LIPOR) in Chlorella protothecoides CS-41 growing either photoautotrophically, mixotrophically or heterotrophically, were all transcribed constitutively independent of illumination and presence of glucose.
