Sal4 is a monoclonal polymeric IgA antibody directed against the O antigen (O-Ag) of Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium (S. Typhimurium), which is sufficient to protect mice against intestinal infections from S. Typhimurium. We recently reported that the exposure of S.
