Purpose – This paper reviews co-creation of value within contemporary literature with a specific focus on customer-supplier and buyer-supplier relationship literature. The paper incorporates the different literatures in order to identify some of the antecedents of value co-creation in buyer-supplier relationships. Methodology/approach – In this systematic literature review 59 articles published between 2000 and 2011 were analyzed using content analysis.
