In this article, we reexamine the derivation of the dynamical equations of the Ashtekar-Olmedo-Singh black hole model in order to determine whether it is possible to construct a Hamiltonian formalism where the parameters that regulate the introduction of quantum geometry effects are treated as true constants of motion. After arguing that these parameters should capture contributions from two distinct sectors of the phase space that had been considered independent in previous analyses in the… Expand

Causal structure of a recent loop quantum gravity black hole collapse model
The causal structure of the recent loop quantum gravity black hole collapse model [1] is analysed. As the spacetime is only approximately diffeomorphism invariant up to powers of $\hbar$, it is notExpand
Report on the session Loop Quantum Gravity: Cosmology and Black Holes of the 16th Marcel Grossmann Meeting
We summarize the main results of 19 talks presented at the QG3 session (loop quantum gravity: cosmology and black holes) of the 16th Marcel Grossmann Meeting held online from JulyExpand
Extended geometry of Gambini-Olmedo-Pullin polymer black hole and its quasinormal spectrum
In this paper we systematically study a model of spherically symmetric polymer black holes recently proposed by Gambini, Olmedo, and Pullin (GOP). Within the framework of loop quantum gravity, theExpand

Wave functions for the Schwarzschild black hole interior
Using the Hamiltonian constraint derived by Ashtekar and Bojowald, we look for preclassical wave functions in the Schwarzschild interior. In particular, when solving this difference equation byExpand
Effective loop quantum geometry of Schwarzschild interior
The success of loop quantum cosmology to resolve classical singularities of homogeneous models has led to its application to the classical Schwarszchild black hole interior, which takes the form of aExpand
Loop quantization of the Schwarzschild interior revisited
The loop quantization of the Schwarzschild interior region, as described by a homogeneous anisotropic Kantowski–Sachs model, is re-examined. As several studies of different—inequivalent—loopExpand
Loop quantization of spherically symmetric midi‐superspaces : the interior problem
We continue the study of spherically symmetric vacuum space‐times in loop quantum gravity by treating the interior of a black hole. We start from a midi‐superspace approach, but a simple gauge fixingExpand
Black-Hole Models in Loop Quantum Gravity
Dynamical black-hole scenarios have been developed in loop quantum gravity in various ways, combining results from mini and midisuperspace models. In the past, the underlying geometry of space-timeExpand
Phenomenological dynamics of loop quantum cosmology in Kantowski-Sachs spacetime
The fundamental theory and the semiclassical description of loop quantum cosmology (LQC) have been studied in the Friedmann-Robertson-Walker and Bianchi I models. As an extension to include bothExpand
Effective quantum extended spacetime of polymer Schwarzschild black hole
The physical interpretation and eventual fate of gravitational singularities in a theory surpassing classical general relativity are puzzling questions that have generated a great deal of interestExpand
Evolution of Λ black holes in the minisuperspace approximation of loop quantum gravity
Using the improved quantization technique to the minisuperspace approximation of loop quantum gravity, we study the evolution of black holes supported by a cosmological constant. The addition of aExpand
Phenomenological loop quantum geometry of the Schwarzschild black hole
The interior of a Schwarzschild black hole is investigated at the level of phenomenological dynamics with the discreteness corrections of loop quantum geometry implemented in two different improvedExpand
Quantum self-gravitating collapsing matter in a quantum geometry
The problem of how space-time responds to gravitating quantum matter in full quantum gravity has been one of the main questions that any program of quantization of gravity should address. Here weExpand
