One of advantages of parallel phase-shifting digital holography (PPSDH) compared with other digital holography techniques is the fast recording of three-dimensional (3D) objects. During the fast recording of a multiplexed hologram that contains at least three amounts of phase retardation, the optical energy of the hologram becomes smaller.
