The existing bounds from CDF on the masses of the fourth generation quarks, t{sup '} and b{sup '}, are reexamined. The bound of 256 GeV on the t{sup '} mass assumes that the primary decay of the t{sup '} is into q+W, which is not the case for a substantial region of parameter space. The bound of 268 GeV on the b{sup '} mass assumes that the branching ratio for b{sup '}{yields}b+Z is very large, which is not only not true for much of parameter space, but is never true for b{sup '} masses above… Expand

Less space for a new family of fermions
• Physics
• 2010
We investigate the experimentally allowed parameter space of an extension of the standard model (SM3) by one additional family of fermions. Therefore we extend our previous study of theExpand
Implications of the stability and triviality bounds on the standard model with three and four chiral generations
We revisit the stability and triviality bounds on the Higgs boson mass in the context of the standard model with three and four generations (SM3 and SM4, respectively). In light of the recent resultsExpand
Standard model with four generations: Selected implications for rare B and K decays
• Physics
• 2010
We extend our recent work and study implications of the standard model with four generations (SM4) for rare B and K decays. We again take seriously the several 2-3{sigma} anomalies seen in B, B{subExpand
How much space is left for a new family of fermions
• Physics
• 2009
We perform an exploratory study of the allowed parameter range for the CKM-like mixing of hypothetical quarks of a fourth generation. As experimental constraints we use the tree-level determinationsExpand
Associated Production of Z Boson and a Pair of New Quarks at LHC
The associated production of Z boson and a pair of new quarks at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is studied. The cross sections for both sequential fermions and vector-like fermions are presented. ItExpand
Search for heavy, top-like quark pair production in the dilepton final state in pp collisions at √s=7 TeV
he results of a search for pair production of a heavy, top-like quark, t', in the decay mode (t' anti-t') to (b anti-W anti-b W) to (b anti-lepton neutrino anti-b lepton anti-neutrino) are presented.Expand
Strongly Coupled Fourth Generation at the LHC
• Physics
• 2009
We study extensions of the standard model with a strongly coupled fourth generation. This occurs in models where electroweak symmetry breaking is triggered by the condensation of at least some of theExpand
Detecting fourth generation quarks at hadron colliders
• Physics
• 2012
A bstractAlthough there is no compelling evidence, at present, against the Standard Model (SM), in the past few years, a number of 2-3 sigma tensions have appeared which could be alleviated simply byExpand
Z'-> ggg decay in left-right symmetric models with three and four fermion families
• Physics
• 2011
We study the Z'-> ggg decay in the context of a left-right symmetric gauge theory. We obtain a branching ratio BR(Z'-> ggg)=\Gamma(Z'->ggg)/ \Gamma(Z'-> q\bar{q})= (1.2-2.8) x 10^{-5} forExpand
CP violation and the 4th generation
• Physics
• 2009
Within the Standard model with the 4th generation quarks b' and t' we have analyzed CP-violating flavor changing neutral current processes t -> cX; b'-> sX, b'-> bX,t'-> cX, and t'-> tX, withExpand
