Soot volume fractions and flame temperatures have been measured in laminar premixed ethylene-air flames at pressures between 5 and 20 bar for equivalence ratios ranging 1.7 to 2.8. The measurements have been carried out by applying laser-induced incandescence (LII) and light extinction for determining flame structure and soot volume fractions, and N 2 coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy (CARS) for measuring temperatures in the pressooting zone.
