ABSTRACTThe combustion of liquid fuel droplets provides fundamental information that is relevant to spray combustion. A porous sphere setup has been used to investigate non-premixed combustion experimentally with three different liquid fuels, viz. methanol, diesel, and biodiesel (sunflower oil methyl ester).
