Clinical application of monitoring indicators of female dancer health, including application of artificial intelligence in female hormone networks
TLDR
Monitoring menstrual cycles and application of artificial intelligence techniques to model menstrual cycle hormones found that subclinical hormone disruption was occurring in 6 of the 10 dancers reporting regular cycles, and 4 of the 6 dancers who received personalised advice showed improved menstrual hormone function.

THE EFFECT OF ADAPTATION TO VARIOUS DAMAGING AGENTS ON THE FEMALE SEX ORGANS IN THE RAT
TLDR
Insufficient food intake has been shown to cause irregularities of the cycle or permanent anestrus in the guinea pig and rat and a few examples may help to illustrate the problem.
Adolescents’ Use of Combined Hormonal Contraceptives for Menstrual Cycle–Related Problem Treatment and Contraception: Evidence of Potential Lifelong Negative Reproductive and Bone Effects
TLDR
A common, unscientific medical “habit” is compromising long-term reproductive and bone health in adolescents and Ibuprofen is safer and more effective for cramps and heavy flow.
Athletic Menstrual Cycle Irregularity: Endocrine Response to Exercise and Training
TLDR
The evidence shows that chronic exercise stimulates marked changes in the menstrual cycle and that profound increments can occur in the availability of sex hormones during exercise, however, it is not understood how exercise stimulatesChanges in the cycle.
An objective method for detecting the shift in basal body temperature in women.
TLDR
The cumulative sum (CUSUM) test is adapted to the problem of detecting BBT shift and applied to 137 BBT charts obtained from 21 women using natural family planning and results show successful detection of the shift in all cases.
HYPOTHALAMIC‐PITUITARY‐OVARIAN FUNCTION IN PERIMENOPAUSAL WOMEN
TLDR
The results indicate that marked changes in the pattern of pituitary gonadotrophin secretion can be found in perimenopausal women with DUB, and an increase in peripheral levels of FSH may be due to a change in hypothalamic‐pituitary sensitivity to the feedback effects of oestrogen.
Hypercortisolism in Patients With Functional Hypothalamic-Amenorrhea
TLDR
This selective hypercortisolism during the waking period of the day was almost entirely related to increased duration and amplitude of secretory episodes (peak area) rather than a change in pulse frequency.
Adolescent use of combined hormonal contraception and peak bone mineral density accrual: A meta‐analysis of international prospective controlled studies
TLDR
Many women use combined hormonal contraceptives during adolescence during which they are accruing peak areal bone mineral density (BMD) that relates to lifetime fracture risk, and this work compared peak BMD accrual in adolescents using and not using CHC.
Progesterone for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis in women

  • Medicine, Biology
Climacteric : the journal of the International Menopause Society
  • 2018
TLDR
Progesterone plus estradiol or other antiresorptive therapies adds 0.68%/year and may be a highly effective osteoporosis treatment, and Randomized controlled trials are still needed to confirm progesterone’s important role in women's bone formation.
