We explore the spectrum of excited and exotic bottomonia using lattice QCD. Highly excited states are identified with masses up to 11,000 MeV, many of which can be grouped into supermultiplets matching those of the quark model while exotic spin-parity-charge-conjugation quantum numbers J PC = 0 + − , 1 − + , 2 + − that cannot be formed from q ¯ q $$\overline{q}q$$ alone are also identified. Single-meson operator constructions are used that have good J PC in the continuum, these are found to…

The lightest hybrid meson supermultiplet in QCD
We interpret the spectrum of meson states recently obtained in non-perturbative lattice QCD calculations in terms of constituent quark-antiquark bound states and states, called 'hybrids', in which

Bottomonium spectrum from lattice QCD with 2 + 1 flavors of domain wall fermions
Recently, realistic lattice QCD calculations with 2+1 flavors of domain wall fermions and the Iwasaki gauge action have been performed by the RBC and UKQCD Collaborations. Here, results for the

Motivated by observations from heavy baryon phenomenology, two lattice interpolating operators are considered, both of which are expected to couple efficiently to tetraquark states: one with a diquark-antidiquark and a meson-meson structure.

The XYZ states: Experimental and theoretical status and perspectives
The quark model was formulated in 1964 to classify mesons as bound states made of a quark-antiquark pair, and baryons as bound states made of three quarks. For a long time all known mesons and
