In this paper we give examples of tight high dimensional contact manifolds admitting a contactomorphism whose powers are all smoothly isotopic but not contact-isotopic to the identity; this is a generalization of an observation in dimension 3 by Gompf, also reused by Ding and Geiges.

A remark on the contactomorphism group of overtwisted contact spheres
We show the existence of elements of infinite order in some homotopy groups of the contactomorphism group of overtwisted spheres. It follows in particular that the contactomorphism group of some highExpand

Examples of nontrivial contact mapping classes for overtwisted contact manifolds in all dimensions
We construct (infinitely many) examples in all dimensions of contactomorphisms of closed overtwisted contact manifolds that are smoothly isotopic but not contact-isotopic to the identity.
Examples of non-trivial contact mapping classes in all dimensions
We give examples of contactomorphisms in every dimension that are smoothly isotopic to the identity but that are not contact isotopic to the identity. In fact, we prove the stronger statement thatExpand
Existence and classification of overtwisted contact structures in all dimensions
We establish a parametric extension h-principle for overtwisted contact structures on manifolds of all dimensions, which is the direct generalization of the 3-dimensional result from [12]. ItExpand
On the contact mapping class group of Legendrian circle bundles
In this paper, we determine the group of contact transformations modulo contact isotopies for Legendrian circle bundles over closed surfaces of non-positive Euler characteristic. These results extendExpand

Contact homology and homotopy groups of the space of contact structures
Using contact homology, we reobtain some recent results of Geiges and Gonzalo about the fundamental group of the space of contact structures on some 3-manifolds. We show that our techniques can beExpand
On some constructions of contact manifolds
This thesis is divided in two parts. The first part focuses on the study of the topology of the contactomorphism group of some explicit high dimensional contact manifolds. More precisely, usingExpand
Symplectomorphisms of exotic discs
We construct a symplectic structure on a disc that admits a compactly supported symplectomorphism which is not smoothly isotopic to the identity. The symplectic structure has an overtwisted concaveExpand
Chern-Weil theory and the group of strict contactomorphisms
In this paper we study the groups of contactomorphisms of a closed contact manifold from a topological viewpoint. First we construct examples of contact forms on spheres whose Reeb flow has a denseExpand
