Abstract The Imo State University (IMSU), is running a non-residential policy despite her growing student population. Although her policy has led to tremendous development of Ugwuorji layout and other close neighbourhoods, its implications on students have been neglected by the institution. This paper examines the effects of this policy on the student performances. The result upheld the alternative hypothesis that off-campus system has effect on the student's success.
