It has been previously reported that the reactive metabolites phenylsemiquinone and phenylbenzoquinone are generated during microsomal cytochrome P450-catalyzed redox cycling of o-phenylphenol (OPP). However, covalent modification of DNA by OPP-reactive metabolites has yet not been demonstrated.
