We sequenced the complementary DNA (cDNA) encoding guinea pig LHRH from an expression library derived from the preoptic area-anterior hypothalamus. Data from in situ hybridization and RNase protection assays verified that the cloned cDNA was complementary to guinea pig LHRH messenger RNA.
