We solve the five dimensional vacuum Einstein equations for several kinds of anisotropic geometries. We consider metrics in which the spatial slices are characterized as Bianchi types II and V, and the scale factors are dependent both on time and a noncompact fifth coordinate. We examine the behavior of the solutions we find, exploring them within the context of the induced matter model.

Oscillatory regime in the multidimensional homogeneous cosmological models induced by a vector field

We show that in multidimensional gravity, vector fields completely determine the structure and properties of singularity. It turns out that in the presence of a vector field the oscillatory regime

Bulk-Brane Matching in Bianchi-Types Brane World

We discuss a comprehensive description of the geometry of the brane-world cosmologies, and present bulk and brane structure and matching between brane and bulk metrics. It is clear that the

Brane cosmology with an anisotropic bulk

In the context of brane cosmology, a scenario where our universe is a 3 + 1-dimensional surface (the “brane”) embedded in a five-dimensional spacetime (the “bulk”), we study geometries for which the

Brane cosmology with an anisotropic bulk

In the context of brane cosmology, a scenario where our universe is a 3+1-dimensional surface (the ``brane'') embedded in a five-dimensional spacetime (the ``bulk''), we study geometries for which

Cosmology from induced matter model applied to 5D f(R,T) theory

It is well known that the universe is undergoing a phase of accelerated expansion. Plenty of models have already been created with the purpose of describing what causes this non-expected cosmic

CLASSICAL AND QUANTUM FEATURES OF THE MIXMASTER SINGULARITY

This review paper is devoted to analyzing the main properties of the cosmological singularity associated with the homogeneous and inhomogeneous Mixmaster model. After the introduction of the main

Energy conditions in a modified Brans-Dicke theory

We consider a modified version of Brans-Dicke theory (MBDT) in four dimensions (4D) obtained by applying the induced matter method of Wesson to a 5D generalized Brans-Dicke theory. In 5D the model

Cosmological solutions from induced matter model applied to 5D $$f(R,T)$$f(R,T) gravity and the shrinking of the extra coordinate

In this work, I present exact cosmological solutions from Wesson’s induced matter model applied to a general 5D metric in $$f(R,T)$$f(R,T) theory of gravity. The non-conservation of the

Reconstructing the Equation of State in Holographic Dark Energy in 5D Brans-Dicke Theory, and Comparison with ΛCDM Model and CPL Parametrization

We study Holographic dark energy in 5D Brans-Dicke cosmology. To investigate the stability and attractor solutions, we fit the model with the SNIa and Gamma-Ray Burst (GRB) observational data. We
