We construct a series of charged dilatonic black holes which share zero entropy in the zero temperature limit using Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton theories. In these black holes, the wave functions and the Green's functions of massless fermions can be solved exactly in terms of special functions in the phase space of $(\omega,k)$. We observe that for sufficiently large charge, there are many poles in the Green's function with vanishing $\omega$, which strongly signifies that Fermi surfaces exist in…

Quick introduction into AdS/CFT correspondence in physics of strongly correlated systems
• Physics
• 2016
The AdS/CFT correspondence appeared at the end of the 1990s as an approach established a connection between the string theory and conformal field theory models. In general, the existence of such

We find exact, analytic solutions of the Dirac equation for a charged, massless fermion in the background of a charged, dilatonic black hole in AdS_5. The black hole descends from type IIB

Stellar spectroscopy: Fermions and holographic Lifshitz criticality
• Physics

Electron stars are fluids of charged fermions in Anti-de Sitter spacetime. They are candidate holographic duals for gauge theories at finite charge density and exhibit emergent Lifshitz scaling at
Towards strange metallic holography
• Physics

We initiate a holographic model building approach to `strange metallic' phenomenology. Our model couples a neutral Lifshitz-invariant quantum critical theory, dual to a bulk gravitational background,
Electron stars for holographic metallic criticality
• Physics

We refer to the ground state of a gravitating, charged ideal fluid of fermions held at a finite chemical potential as an ''electron star.'' In a holographic setting, electron stars are candidate

Faulkner et al. (p. 1043) have developed a mathematical framework that describes the non-Fermi liquid represented by the strange metal phase of cuprate high-temperature superconductors, using the anti–de-Sitter/conformal field theory correspondence to identify a class of non- Fermi liquids.
Non-Fermi liquids from holography

We report on a potentially new class of non-Fermi liquids in (2+1)-dimensions. They are identified via the response functions of composite fermionic operators in a class of strongly interacting

A bstractGauge/gravity duality applied to strongly interacting systems at finite density predicts a universal intermediate energy phase to which we refer as a semi-local quantum liquid. Such a phase
