Multiobjective evolutionary algorithms have long been applied to engineering problems. Lately they have also been used to evolve behaviors for intelligent agents. In such applications, it is often necessary to "shape" the behavior via increasingly difficult tasks. Such shaping requires extensive domain knowledge.
