In past, the aircraft control systems were based on conventional methods of mechanical and hydro-mechanical system. The present generation aircraft are using fly-by-wire (FBW) and in future likely to migrate to fly-by-light (FBL) method for aircraft control system. Mechanical & Hydro- mechanical flight control systems have been replaced by Fly- By-Wire due to increasing speed of modern aircraft. Due to inherent characteristics of FBL like light weight, compact size, large bandwidth, immunity to… Expand

Validation of Aerodynamic Coefficients for Flight Control System of A Medium Altitude Long Endurance Unmanned Aerial vehicle
TLDR
The validation of FCS for a Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) UAV, whose service ceiling is 15,000 ft., having an endurance of up to 20 hours, is discussed. Expand
Flight Controls, High-Lift Systems, and Their Actuation
TLDR
This chapter describes how aircraft flight control is achieved and how hydraulic systems operating at up to 5000 psi were required to move flight control surfaces due to the aerodynamic loads that arose as aircraft size and speed increased. Expand
A model-based systems engineering approach for the specification of test means for flight control computers
TLDR
A model-based system engineering (MBSE) approach to improve the specification process for flight control computer test means development, potentially decreasing development time and increasing the competitiveness of the system developer. Expand
