Previous studies have demonstrated that both the V2-receptor agonist, 1-desamino-8-D-arginine vasopressin (dDAVP), and the V1a-receptor agonist, [Phe2, Orn8]vasotocin (PO-VT), increase intracellular calcium concentration ([Ca2+]i) in the rat inner medullary collecting duct (IMCD).
