Interdisciplinary orthodontic tooth movement (OTM) can synthesize tissue engineering principles with periodontal regenerative surgery to create rapid orthodontic tooth movement and reduce side effects like root resorption, relapse, inadequate basal bone, and bacterial time-load factors (ie, infection).
