Power systems are continuously exposed to various disturbances, such as generation trip, line trip, etc. These variations may initiate oscillations that could jeopardize the system stability if not well damped. The distribution-level phasor monitoring system provides a low cost solution to collect the frequency, phase angle, and voltage magnitude data during the oscillations.
