We present an adaptive event-triggered boundary control scheme for a parabolic PDE-ODE system, where the reaction coefficient of the parabolic PDE, and the system parameter of a scalar ODE, are unknown. In the proposed controller, the parameter estimates, which are built by batch least-square identification, are recomputed and the plant states are resampled simultaneously. As a result, both the parameter estimates and the control input employ piecewise-constant values. In the closed-loop system…

TLDR
This article is devoted to the stabilization via adaptive feedback for a class of uncertain coupled reaction–diffusion dynamics in the actuation path of an ordinary differential equation (ODE) system and proposes an adaptive state-feedback controller for this system.
Observer-based event-triggered boundary control of a linear 2 × 2 hyperbolic systems
TLDR
It is shown that under the proposed event-triggered boundary control, there exists a minimal dwell-time (independent on initial conditions) between two triggering times and furthermore the well-posedness and global exponential stability are guaranteed.
Event-triggered boundary control of constant-parameter reaction-diffusion PDEs: a small-gain approach
TLDR
It is stated that under the proposed event-triggered boundary control, there exists a minimal dwell-time (independent of the initial condition) between two triggering times and furthermore the well-posedness and global exponential stability are guaranteed.
Output Feedback Control of Coupled Linear Parabolic ODE–PDE–ODE Systems
TLDR
The backstepping design of observer-based compensators for parabolic ODE-PDE-ODE systems is proposed, in order to determine a state feedback controller and an observer, and the state feedback loop and the observer error dynamics are mapped into stable ODE's cascades by making use of a sequence of transformations.
State and output feedback boundary control for a coupled PDE-ODE system
TLDR
A state feedback boundary controller is designed, and the system is transformed into an exponentially stable PDE–ODE cascade with an invertible integral transformation, where PDE backstepping is employed.
Adaptive Boundary Control for Unstable Parabolic PDEs—Part I: Lyapunov Design
TLDR
These are the first adaptive controllers for unstable PDEs without relative degree limitations, open-loop stability assumptions, or domain-wide actuation, and most of the designs presented are state feedback but two benchmark designs with output feedback which have infinite relative degree are presented.
Adaptive observer design with heat PDE sensor
TLDR
The aim is to get online estimates of all inaccessible states and unknown parameters of both the ODE and the PDE subsystems and the obtained adaptive observer is shown to be exponentially convergent under an ad-hoc persistent excitation condition.
