OBJECTIVE The aim was to evaluate the prevalence and distribution of tooth number anomalies in a Turkish subpopulation. MATERIALS AND METHODS A population of 2722 patients (1532 females and 1190 males; mean age, 12.33 ± 2.5 years) was retrospectively examined to determine the prevalence and distribution of the hypodontia, oligodontia, and hyperdontia using panoramic radiographs.
