Repeated inhalation exposure and 1-generation reproduction studies have been conducted in the rat to address the adequacy of the 10 ppm occupational exposure limit established for 1,2,3-trichloropropane (TriCP). Groups of 5 rats per sex were exposed for 6 h/d, 5 d/wk up to 4 wk to target TriCP concentrations of 0-900 ppm. Nine of 10 rats died after a single exposure at 900 ppm. Additional deaths were seen in the 300 (1 death) and 600 (3 deaths) ppm test groups. Mean body weights for all TriCP…
Evaluation of the subchronic and reproductive effects of a series of chlorinated propanes in the rat. II. Toxicity of 1,2,2,3-tetrachloropropane and 1,1,2,2,3-pentachloropropane.
TLDR
While mating performance overall was poor in the T ECP study, female mating performance of the 15 ppm TECP-exposed group appeared lower than control and no treatment-related effects were seen in the PCP study.
Subchronic inhalation toxicity of the chlorinated propane 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexachloropropane (HCC-230fa).
TLDR
Exposure to HCC-230fa did not significantly alter the primary humoral immune response to sheep red blood cell (SRBC) and the no-observed-adverse-effect level (NOAEL) was considered to be 2.5 ppm.
Developmental toxicity and genotoxicity studies of 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexachloropropane (HCC-230fa) in rats.
TLDR
The results of these studies suggest that HCC-230fa affects rapidly dividing cells and may have long-term consequences for occupational exposures.
Developmental Toxicity and Genotoxicity Studies of
TLDR
Evidence of maternal and developmental toxicity was observed at 25 ppm and was noted as significant, compound-related reductions in mean maternal body weight, weight change, and food consumption and significant fetal effects also were observed.
A proposal for calculating the no-observed-adverse-effect level (NOAEL) for organic compounds responsible for liver toxicity based on their physicochemical properties
TLDR
It appears that the Abraham equation could be used to predict the NOAEL values for compounds lacking information concerning their liver toxicity, which can improve the practice of setting exposure guidelines for the unstudied compounds.
PUBLIC HEALTH GOALS FOR CHEMICALS IN DRINKING WATER

Letter Health Consultation
TLDR
This letter health consultation summarizes the New York State Department of Health and Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry evaluation of environmental data collected in the residential neighborhood east of Water Street and next to Eighteen Mile Creek and presents conclusions about the public health implications of the environmental data and recommendations for future actions.

New tables for multiple comparisons with a control.
TLDR
The main purpose of the present paper is to give the exact tables for making two-sided comparisons, and a method is given for adjusting the tabulated values to cover the situation where the variance of the control mean is smaller than thevariance of the treatment means.

Nonparametric Statistical Methods
TLDR
An ideal text for an upper-level undergraduate or first-year graduate course, Nonparametric Statistical Methods, Second Edition is also an invaluable source for professionals who want to keep abreast of the latest developments within this dynamic branch of modern statistics.
Distribution-Free Statistical Tests
TLDR
Tests are grouped together primarily according to general type of mathematical derivation or type of statistical "information" used in'conducting the test, and mathematical interrelationships among the tests are indicated.
