Torrential rains are a frequent meteorological risk in the Mediterranean Basin. As part of a long-term research study conducted at CEAM on meteorological risks in the Western Mediterranean basin, we have studied a torrential rain event that occurred in the Valencian region in September 1989 with a mesoscale numerical model, RAMS (Regional Atmospheric Modeling System).
