BACKGROUND Inhibitors of dipeptidyl peptidase (DPP) IV are a class of oral hypoglycemic agents that increase glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) levels by inhibiting its degradation. OBJECTIVE This study evaluated the pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and tolerability of DA-1229, which is a newly developed DPP IV inhibitor.
