Alteration in the Radiosensitivity of HeLa Cells by Dichloromethane Extract of Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia)
- BiologyIntegrative cancer therapies

HeLa cells treated with TCE showed an increase in lactate dehydrogenase and decrease in glutathioneS-transferase activity at all postirradiation times, and Lipid peroxidation increased up to 4 hours postir Radiation and declined gradually up to 12 hours postIRradiation.
Dichloromethane Extract of Giloe (Tinospora Cordifolia, Wild) Increases the Radiosensitivity of Cultured Hela Cells Exposed to Different Doses of Γ-Radiation
- Medicine, Biology
- 2017
An attempt has been made to evaluate the potential of dichloromethane extract of giloe i.e. Tinospora cordifolia (TCE) in cultured HeLa cells and found that the TCE treatment increased the radiosensitivity of He La cells by reducing glutathione-S-transferase activity and increasing the activity of lactate dehydrogenase and lipid peroxidation.
