Abstract The flexibility of anterior chamber intraocular lenses is largely dependent on the compression force necessary to insert the lens in the eye, the resultant force after the lens stabilizes in the anterior chamber, and the vaulting characteristics of the lens. These three characteristics are extremely important when considering the use of any of the newer, more compressible, anterior chamber intraocular lenses.
