A comprehensive program of field, laboratory, and analytical investigations was carried out to evaluate the potential of liquefaction for the foundation soils at Duncan Dam. Duncan Dam was completed in 1967 under the Columbia River Treaty in southeastern British Columbia. The 39 m high zoned embankment dam is founded on a sequence of sands, silts, and gravels.
